A few snaps from one our practices in Myke’s studio to start this post. Myke and Dave managed to set-up a mini jam/practice studio in Myke’s home. Super cozy i have to say. Perfect to 2-3hour jam sessions. Nice work you guys!

Some family snaps at my Aunt’s house, from a few weeks ago. One of those “First Sunday” Family get-togethers.

Hilera played at 6 Underground early this October for one of Red Ninja Productions gig events. Made a few decent snaps of the band.

Anyways, I haven’t been shooting much lately…but I promise myself from here own that I would try to take photos whenever the opportunity arises. I guess my laziness gets the best of me…most of the times…if not always. I would try to keep the words few…

A few months back, my college blockmates and I had a get together of some sort in Villa Amparo in Laguna. Wasn’t able to take a lot of photos, but I manage to snap a few decent ones…I think.

It took me sometime to take the camera out for a test run. I was lazy at the same time busy with some other stuff (work, freelancing stuff etc.). Anyway here are the test shots. They were scanned from the contact sheet, so I apologize for the quality and the dirt on the images.

First roll of neopan across 100. My very first try…that’s why I was only able to get three. I accidentally exposed some of the frames when I removed the back without the dark slide attached to it.

The second roll of neopan 100. A more successful roll with more decent images I suppose.

And that’s about it. I really love the camera. It’s AWESOME! I really don’t mind the weight (it’s a heavy camera…and I mean heavy), I just love using it. I’ll be shooting more frames with this one. That would be all!

BTW, Hitana is Myke Guiterez on vocals, Dave Reyes on guitars, Teddy Vesagas on keyboards, Mathew Wong (your’s truly) on bass, and Pierre Ascuncion on drums. As a far as what music or what type of music we play…well…you could just check out some of our vids here.

The guys below are Buks and Marc. Buks is Dave’s cousin, while Marc is his brother. Not really “band members”, but still member of the Hitana crew.

Here are some snaps from our Mag:Net Katipunan gigs….pre-performance snaps.

We had a gig last August 18 in Mag:Net Highstreet. I wasn’t able to get that many photos…in fact I barely took photos during that gig. But I did manage to snap a few decent ones though.

This guy right here is an amazing musician. His name is Joniver and his set is incredible! He plays mostly the blues and does covers of John Mayer songs…and he really really does a great job in covering his songs. If you haven’t seen him perform, you should go check him out! I think he plays regularly in Mag:Net Highstreet’s acoustic hour (8:00 – 9:00 PM) during Saturdays. Or you may check out his stuff here.

Another awesome band that performed that night…Maya’s Anklet. I really love the stuff they play.

Too bad I’m still not as confident as I should be when shooting in public or in the streets,..I still get really, really nervous. I know I shouldn’t be. I’m not really doing anything wrong or atleast my intentions aren’t really malicious or whatever.

So when he passed by our car, I just took the photo (our car had tinted windows so I’m not sure if he saw me taking his picture). And this is the result of that.
