Mt. Pundaquit
Last Saturday, a couple of my college friends went to Zambales for a little adventure. Our destination – Anawangin Cove! Anawangin Cove is a camp site/area beside the beach. It’s a really cool setup. Awesome place to spend the weekend. Good place for nature trippin’ too. There’s no electricity and no cell phone signal.
Moving on, our call time was 12:30 AM. We had to leave before 1:00A.M so we could reach San Antonio, Zamabales before 5:00AM, so we could trek early from Mt. Pundaquit to Anawangin Cove.
Stop over at Petron NLEX. We bought some supplies for our trip. After that me and Gino bought some grub in Chowking.
We arrived at San Antonio, Zambales at around 5:00A.M. Our trek to Anawangin Cove officially started at 5:40A.M.
One of our tour guides Jake. A very entertaining chap.
Our main tour guide Mang Romeo.
At some point, I stopped taking pictures…because I was exhausted. I could barely lift my camera. We took a couple of breaks during the climb, but I had a hard time recovering. Damn, I’m really out of shape.
We eventually reached the peak of Mt. Pundaquit at around 7:40 A.M. Whew! We stopped over for another break and to take a few photos at the peak.
After several minutes, we started the climb down. We still have a long way to go before we reach the cove.
One of the many cow shit we encountered. I wasted a frame on this one becuase it kind of looked like a shit shrine ofsome sort.
And finally we reached Anawangin at around 9:50 A.M. Yey! It was an exhausting activity but it was all worth it. I’ll be posting some photos from the beach. But this will do for now.
